- Sources Sought General Information Document Type:�Sources Sought Notice Title:�FY23 On Premises Server Hardware Refresh Sources Sought Post Date: Sources Sought Response Date:�03/30/2023�at 10:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time) NAICS Code:�541512 Computer Systems Design Services Background The Treasury Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Departmental Offices (DO) provides leadership to the Departments and its Bureaus in all areas of information and technology management. DO Infrastructure Operations team currently manages Cisco UCS hardware, software, maintenance, and services for the Compute and Storage capabilities located at Main Treasury, Martinsburg, WV and Memphis, TN data centers. This procurement seeks to replace the existing server hardware that is going End of Life (EOL) to include compute and optionally storage (in the case of a Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solution).� The solution must be inclusive of three years maintenance and support services for the equipment proposed. Mandatory Qualifications Like or similar Cisco UCS hardware and software as the underlying server architecture for mission critical business applications. This procurement is to replace the existing EOL computer hardware (primarily Cisco UCSB-B200-M3 blades) while Departmental Offices continues to migrate systems to a cloud solution. The solution must be turnkey and include all required components and be delivered, installed and fully operational by December 1, 2023.� Vendors are encouraged to propose the latest generation of Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions if appropriate. OCIO is primarily interested in optimizing performance while reducing cost for systems that must remain on prem. The current storage subsystem is a Dell/EMC Storage as a Service platform utilizing the Unity SAN platform. If proposals intend to leverage that storage solution it must be noted in the proposal. The vendor shall provide associated services and maintenance support for a computer platform as described above that minimally provides the computer power of the existing UCSB-B200-M3 blades, and in aggregate supports the capacity requirements. It is not to be construed as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).� In order to proactively plan for future requirements, Treasury is conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested firms who have the capability to replace the existing server hardware that is going End of Life (EOL) to include computer and optionally storage (in the case of a Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solution).� The solution must be inclusive of three years maintenance and support services for the equipment proposed. Responses from small business sources is requested.� Small Disadvantaged Businesses/8(a) small businesses are encouraged to respond. A contract is anticipated to be awarded for one year 1 August 2023 through 31 July 2024. The anticipated contract type may be single award firm fixed price. At this time, no solicitation exists, however it has a potential estimated value of 700K. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only and is not a request for quote (RFQ) nor does it restrict the Government as to the final acquisition strategy. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. The Due Date to submit a response to this Notice is March 30, 2023. For this requirement, the contractor personnel is not required to hold a SECRET security clearance. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is NAICS: 541512 Computer Systems Design Services. Service Requirement Critical Tasks/Elements Firms submitting a response to this Notice should describe and demonstrate performance of the following Statement of Work Technical Elements and a minimum of 24hrs notice is required prior to delivery. Below is an illustration of the types of performance expected (See Attachment) In addition, OCIO has several stand-alone �Spoke� sites that require physical server refresh. Current standalone servers are Dell PowerEdge R630 (2 CPU, 64 GB RAM). Minimum spoke server specification are listed below. OCIO is also not tied to the Del PowerEdge platform, it is provided merely as a minimum benchmark. Instructions. Company must identify if they are a small business and identify their socio-economic status (i.e. small business category (e.g. 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, or women-owned small business). Timeline from contract award to installation, including transition time. Identify/Recommended Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWACS) that these services can be obtained based on the Service Requirement Critical Tasks/Elements section of this document.
