- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-19-G-0029 with Lockheed Martin, Orlando, FL, to procure organic depot repair capability in support of the F18 Block II Infrared Search and Track (IRST) Program. The organic depot shall have the ability to affect maintenance and repair of IRST Units Under Test (UUTs) utilizing IRST Special Test Equipment/Factory Test Equipment (STE/FTE).� This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements"". As the original equipment manufacturer of the F/A-18E/F Special Test Equipment/Factory Test Equipment (STE/FTE), only Lockheed Martin has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within the time required.� The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
