Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to determine if other companies are capable of manufacturing (or legitimately obtaining) the following item: 1670-01-097-2204, Control Assembly, Pa. �This item is currently manufactured by Transdigm Inc. (Cages 04638 and 06970) under part numbers 16VL021-2 and C81760-2, Cablecraft Motion Controls (Cages 06970 and 0ANK9) under part number 580-291-166, Lockheed Martin Corporation (Cage 81755) under part number 16VL021-2. The Weapon System Designator Code is 26F.� This Sources Sought Notice is for informational purposes only. �This is not a request for an offer. �This does not constitute as a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. �Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. �No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. �Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. If your company desires to be reviewed and qualified as an �Approved Source� for this item, submit an application package through the Source Approval Request (SAR) Program as outlined in the attachment.
