Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The U.S. Department of Energy�s Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to issue a firm-fixed award to a single source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP. This requirement is for an annual inspection and preventative maintenance on the Simplex fire detection system. �The purchase order will be awarded to the incumbent vendor, Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP, for one (1) base year and four (4) one?year option periods.� The period of performance for the base year is 5/1/23-4/30/24.� Based on market research, Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP is the only authorized source that can perform the inspections on the Simplex fire alarm equipment and has authorized technicians that can perform the preventative maintenance. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561621 � Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths) with a size standard of $25M. �This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing via e-mail to the point of contact or alternate point of contact. Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by April 11, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. EST. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to paynet@osti.gov by 5:00 p.m. local time. A determination not to compete the proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Please note that any prospective offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to award in accordance with FAR part 4.11.
