- Description
- Naval Supply Systems Command Weapons Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) - Mechanicsburg, PA intends to solicit a three-year w/ 2 option years IDIQ Long Term Contract for the Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment: ITEM: COMPRESSOR, ROTARY NSN: 7HH 4310 012483144 PART Number: K898155-04 or 6309956. Approximate Annual quantity of 35 each. The Government does not own or possess the design drawings, and work scope manufacture/repair procedures. A company would require access to OEM documentation to accomplish the scope of manufacture/repair necessary. If the company believes they have a process which might have the industry equivalent manufacture and repair, or the OEMs manufacture/repair standards, then the following IS required: In order to adequately process your response to the sources sought notice for manufacture/repair for the specified component, you must submit additional documentation in order for the government to evaluate your manufacture/repair capability. I have attached an example of a Source Approval Request (SAR) Template. You can use this format or another of your choosing as long as the information is provided. The example provided is a good outline for an engineering evaluation. It is important that your SAR be comprehensive and thorough. The SAR should outline in detail the requirements below of a Higher Level Manufacture/Repair Facility. I also attached the DOP Certification Guide. This can also assist in your SAR format. Since your interest is based on your belief that it can manufacture/repair/overhaul the specified component, the SAR documentation you provide, needs to show how manufacture/repairs are to be performed on individual components, subassemblies/assemblies. The documentation must outline your manufacture/repair process (i.e. in-house manufacture/repair standards, commercial technical manufacture/repair standards specific to this component). Please submit your package to the Contract Specialist via email, who will forward your package to our ESRS program for further review. In order to be qualified to manufacture/repair the specified item, you must meet higher Level Facility Requirements, to include the following: Depot level maintenance includes the repair, fabrication, manufacture, rebuilding, assembly overhaul, modification, refurbishment, rebuilding, test, analysis, repair-process design, upgrade, painting and disposal of parts, assemblies, subassemblies, software, components, or end items that require shop facilities, tooling, support equipment, and/or personnel of higher technical skills, or processes beyond the organizational level capability. Government approval as a source is required. NAVSUP WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.
