- This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposals.� Therefore, no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to release a request for quote (RFQ) to Curtiss-Wright Electro-Mechanical Corporation, in accordance with 41 U.S.C 1901 as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Subpart 13.5 -Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, for a sole source, firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract for long lead time material (LLTM) of one (1) rotational deployment mechanism (RDM) repair kit and refurbishment/repair services for a Virginia-class submarine�s secondary propulsion system rotational deployment mechanism (SPS RDM). This posting serves as a Pre-Solicitation Notice in association with N4215823RC30533. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 333996 and the size standard for this NAICS is 1,250 employees. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 2010 Ship and Boat Propulsion Components. The tentative Required Delivery Date (RDD) for the LLTM is 22 APR 2025. The tentative Period of Performance (POP) for the refurbishment/repair services is 23 APR 2025 to 30 SEP 2025.
