Description

AFTC/PZI (Arnold) at Arnold AFB, TN intends to award a single source, firm fixed price contract as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc. for pressure transducers. The Government has a need for�a quantity of ten high temperature miniature transducers with the B screen variant, a quantity of five high temperature miniature transducers with the A screen variant, a quantity of five high temperature miniature transducers with no screen variant and no RTV variant, and a quantity of five high temperature miniature transducers with no screen variant and includes the RTV variant. FAR 13.106- 1(b)(1)(i) states for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc. is the only vendor known to make wind tunnel pressure transducers with the required specifications.�Market research indicated there are no resellers for the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responses received electronically by 10:00 AM Central Time, 13 April 2022�will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received may only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.��All questions and comments should be addressed to Ms. Erica Anglin, Contracting Officer, erica.anglin@us.af.mil. Additional information may be requested by the Government to determine if the inquiring company is a responsible vendor capable of meeting the requirement. If no favorable responses are received by the time and date listed above, a contract will be negotiated with the above-named source.
