- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source order/contract to LaVision Incorporated. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is for the 4D Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) and 4D Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) systems that offer a non-invasive visualization of air flow patterns and aerosol tracking. This procurement consists of the following line items. High-Resolution, High-Speed CMOS Camera (640L) 10 GB Ethernet Option Accessories and cable connection set (1st camera) - for Phantom VEO cameras (10 GigE interface), consisting of camera storage box, 10 GigE network interface card and all necessary cables and adapters to use the camera under DaVis. Accessories and cable connection set (additional cameras) - for Phantom VEO cameras (10 GigE interface), consisting of camera storage box and all necessary cables and adapters to use the camera under DaVis. M42 Adapter - for VR LAB, VEO and TMX series CMOS cameras, for attaching Scheimpflug adapters or M42 mount camera lenses. Scheimpflug Camera Lens Adapter (Series 3) Camera Lens - Tokina 100 mm focal length, f/2.8, 1:1 macro. Camera Lens Camera rail mount System Computer w/RAID (18 Core) - single processor tower Programmable Timing Unit (PTU-X); Internal PTU-X HS DaVis 11 Software license 2D PIV Software package Stereo PIV Software upgrade Shake-the-Box Software upgrade ParticleMaster Software package Nd:YLF Dual Cavity Diode Pumped Solid State, High Repetition Rate Laser Light Sheet Optics Adapter Mount - for Photonics DM-series high-rep rate lasers Adjustable light sheet optics for 527/532 nm Divergent Volume Optics for Tomographic PIV PI Maintenance kit Laser Safety Goggles DPDS Calibration Target Set of five single plane calibration plates (fluorescent) for use with blue light Fluid Supply Unit (FSU) for Helium-filled Soap Bubble Generator V3 Linear Nozzle Array (LNA) Base profile Soap Fluid for HFSB Seeders System Installation and Training - 2 days System shipping and delivery A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and is solely in the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. This action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will review any/all product, capabilities, and pricing information submitted prior to the closure of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
