Description

Renovate & Abate Flooring in Three Bay Pines Buildings, C.W. Bill Young VAMC, Bay Pines, FL. Construction Services Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 will be issuing a Request for Proposal for the project entitled Renovate & Abate Flooring in Three Bay Pines Buildings . The project will be located at the C.W. Bill Young VAMC, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, FL 33744. This project is to remove, abate, and replace with new flooring in Building 2 - OI&T Second Floor, Building 102 - Service Hub, and Building 100 - ED Lobby at the Bay Pines VAMC as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). The flooring material to be removed includes carpet, floor tile, and mastic. Existing flooring mastic contains asbestos and will require abatement. Contractor will be responsible for moving furniture from the affected area/room to another room or provide an on-site storage unit. The awarded contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, contractor quality control (CQC), supervision, project management, administrative support, and construction services and expertise as required by the scope of work, construction drawings, and specifications. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $45M. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be a total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 22, 2023, including specifications and drawings. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects.
