- Giant Voice Upgrade - The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, installation, configuration management, testing, labor, lift, material, software, wiring, documentation, and services in support of the program to upgrade three existing Federal Signal central control stations, install one hundred new Motorola APX4500 VHF radios, reuse existing twenty-seven (27) Federal Signal Omnidirectional speaker arrays and seventy-three (73) indoor Giant Voice (GV) speakers, and provide latest software versions for the upgraded GV system with AtHoc IP Integration Module integration and testing to ensure the system is compatible, functional and operational properly. Please review the attached Statement Of Objectives (SOO). COMBO - Modification 0001: - The purpose of this modification is to correct the offers due date on the COMBO, to reflect the date listed on sam. Amendment 1 Amendment 1 posts Answers to Questions submited by interested offerors.� 1. Question - In regards to 1.0.3- What is the current version of the Blackberry AtHoc IP integration? Where is this interface located? How does it currently interface with the GV system? Answer - AtHoc information is: 7.9.0 patch 0, Build 438,� date 6/14/20. It is located at the main Command Post Bldg; 10471. 2. Question - Are there going to be any security enhancements required for the new radios or will they continue to operate on the same frequency and security? Answer - The radios will be operating on the same frequency and no security. 3. Question - Is the government able to provide complete backups of the existing systems, including messages, schedules, etc. upon award of contract? Answer - We will be able to compile complete backups at the of installation. 4. Question - If the backup command console is relocated will a GPS Antenna be required for the backup location as well? Will a backup Blackberry AtHoc connection be required? Answer - Command console will not be re-located, and GPS capability is not required for this location. Yes, AtHoc integration will be required. 5. Question - Are any spare radios required to be provided? Answer - No spare radios are required. 6. Question - Federal Signal confirmed that they support a serial interface to the Blackberry AtHoc, not IP. Please confirm if this is how it is currently connected and if this will work for the upgrade as well? Answer - It is a serial connection and should have no issues moving forward with the upgrade.
