Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command � Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Illinois Tool Works Inc. DBA Instron, A Division of Illinois Tool Works, located at 825 University Avenue, Norwood, Massachusetts 02062-2643, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Instron is the only known vendor that can provide the Bluehill Universal Testing Software and 100N S-Beam Load Cell for the Instron Model 3343R1994. This software is proprietary in nature and only sold by the manufacturer (Instron). The required software and load cell are manufactured by Instron and sold directly to customers. No other software or load cell is known to be compatible with this Instron model. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541380 and the size standard is $19,000,000.00 in annual revenue. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by sending responses regarding this requirement to the Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground CCAP-SCN, Natick Contracting Division via EMAIL ONLY to alexandra.m.biro2.civ@army.mil and brandon.j.rivett.civ@army.mil no later than 1500 EST 7 June 2023. The U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the expense of the interested party.
