RM. 20 NE CORNER OF BLDG MAINTENENCE SUPERVISOR'S OFFICE 30 STAIRWELL A   This inspection, testing, and reporting shall be done in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 25, 2023 edition of the NFPA Code 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems . When a conflict arises between a method called for in the NFPA 25 and the equipment manufacturer, the VA will be notified in order to interpret the inspection and testing method. If this conflict cannot be resolved the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) in this case the Regional Division Office, Albany (RDO) Fire Protection Engineer will be consulted and his/her decision relative to a final method chosen will prevail. Additionally, reporting shall consist of a cumulative inventory list by quarter as a pass/fail/repair including comparisons between existing device count and the previous year s counts. A current up to date inventory by quarter shall be provided at the start of this contract and be updated in the first quarter by the contractor. This agreement shall include all parts, labor, and travel. Contractor shall be an authorized service provider for Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP (formerly Simplex). Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP is the only known authorized provider for service agreements on Johnson Controls/Simplex Grinnell equipment. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any vendor that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by June 8th, 2023, at 12:00 ET. Responses shall be submitted via email to Ryan.Brehm@va.gov.
