Description
A sources-sought is a market research tool being used to determine availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The intent of this sources-sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for small businesses. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The size standard is 1000 employees. The government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. Medical Readiness Contracting Office West (MRCO-W), Fort Bliss Health Contracting Branch, William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) Fort Bliss, Texas is seeking a one-time purchase contract for a standalone cytological staining machine. The cytological staining machine is a computerized centrifuge machine intended for use in cytology anatomical pathology labs as a stand-alone, benchtop component for staining histologic and cytologic samples on slides. Must be a standalone Cytological Staining Machine Must be able to test samples to detect cervical cancer Must have the Ability to run 20 or 30 position slide racks Must have to Ability to run four (plus) stain racks simultaneously Programming model must support widespread applications of� at least 15 or higher total programs Dimensions must be within: Width: 75 -81 cm (30-32 inches) Height: 35 - 41 cm (14-16 inches) Depth: 75-79 cm (29-31 inches) Must be compact, smaller, and able to be moved if needed Weight 20-25 kg / 45 -55lbs Operating Temperature to range from 10 ?40�C / 55 ? 95�F Operating Humidity 10%-20%; 70%- 80% RH non-condensing Odor Shield: Minimizing the reagent fumes escaping to the ambient air. Visibility: user must be to observe the progress of the processing Electrical Voltage at Minimum 210/240 VAC, 1 amp rated outlet 100/120 VAC Power/Frequency Maximum 180 watts at 50 ? 60 Hz Must be able to export and import programs via USB flash drive Users must be able to generate, review, or adjust programs Upon review of industry response to this sources-sought synopsis, the government will determine the solicitation strategy. The government intends to solicit and award a supply contract for a one-time purchase for a standalone cytological staining machine located at WBAMC. A response to this sources-sought synopsis will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement. This documentation shall address, at minimum, the following: 1) Written narrative of Contractor�s capability to provide the supply request as bulleted above;� � and 2) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code; 8(a) business, HUB Zone small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, or Service disabled veteran owned small business;� � and 3) Point of Contact information to include name, email address, telephone and fax numbers. ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITED NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM MOUNTAIN TIME WEDNESDAY, 07 JUNE 2023. SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM MOUNTAIN TIME THURSDAY, 08 JUNE 2023. RESPONSES SHALL BE SENT ELECTRONICALLY TO elizabeth.a.orloski.civ@health.mil� The government WILL NOT debrief the results of the survey. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the above stated purpose.
