- Maintenance agreement renewal for (1 year) of the NextSeq 550 sequencer for the Department of Laboratory Medicine Product Service Code: J066 NAICS Code: 811210 Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD POTS: 23-007828 Description This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed price contract with a twelve (12) month period of performance effective 07/15/2023 to 07/04/2024 to Illumina Incorporation San Diego, California 32122 on a sole source basis to renew the current maintenance agreement for one year (12 months) for the NextSeq 550 sequencer currently located in the Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) at the NIH Clinical Center (CC). The current maintenance agreement expires July 14, 2023. The Department of Laboratory Medicine is expanding the core for molecular testing, and it is critical that the already procured Illumina NextSeq 550 is covered by a full-service maintenance agreement for proper operation and timely support in case of instrument malfunction. Scope of Work: Includes parts, labor, travel for technical engineer. Reagent replacement upon HW failures Remote Technical Support 18x5; 2 business day on-site response target Control SW and HW updates On-site applications support Discounts on advanced training Illumina Inc. is the original manufacturer of the Illumina Nextseq 550 sequencer currently being used in the DLM for targeted sequencing of Clinical Center patients. They are also the current servicer of the maintenance agreement that expires on July 14, 2023. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
