Description

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis for Red Lake Service Unit (RLSU) in Red Lake, MN. The anticipated period of performance will include a twelve (12)-month base period from 07/01/2023 to 06/30/2024 and four (4) option periods up to 06/30/2028. The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available due to Bemidji Welders Supply being the only company that can provide the delivery of medical gases to RLSU with a 30 minute response time after receiving a call to deliver medical gases.� Market research has identified Bemidji Welders Supply as the only vendor capable of providing the required delivery of medical gases with a 30 minute timeframe for IHS. It is anticipated that the Government will award a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) Purchase Order for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325120 � Industrial Gas Manufacturing � with a size standard of 1,000. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Government's needs.
