Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command -Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC)� intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Eppendorf, Inc., located at 175 Freshwater Blvd, Enfield, CT 06082-4444, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1).� The requirement is for maintenance and service for the equipment for the bioreactor system. The bioreactor systems for use in the gut microbiome work which serves as a model of a real-life human colon; work done within this research area is unique and one of a kind within the Government. It is imperative that the systems receive the annual inspection and routine maintenance plan as well as software updates as needed to ensure that they continue to be operational as part of this maintenance contract award. �Persons providing this service and equipment must be certified and credentialed to perform maintenance and repair work on Eppendorf instruments including the BioFlo and DASgip fermentation systems. Eppendorf has stated that such work performed by uncertified persons or parties will void the terms of their warranty and maintenance agreement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811210 and the size standard is $34,000,000. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.� No solicitation document is available.
