- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Motorola, Inc., 809 Pinnacle Dr Ste G, Linthicum Heights, MD, 21090 for access to a statewide radio system that will provide Land Mobile Radio (LMR) intra-interoperable communications with state and local public safety agencies throughout the state of Illinois. The purchase will be made using procurement procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 6.302-1 � Only one responsible source; or brand name specification. Motorola operates a statewide radio system that will provide Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and interoperable communications between state and local public safety agencies. The system provides optimum RF coverage in areas of the country where investigations are conducted. The radio system enables IRS agents to communicate directly with each other, as well as other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in a secure environment. It also serves to provide IRS special agents with officer safety in the event of an emergency. The backbone of the system consists of a network of stand-alone repeaters that serve to broadcast radio transmissions over a wide area. This is not a request for competitive proposals.� Potential sources who believe they can provide the service listed above are invited to submit a capability package in writing to Hassan.A.Villalba@irs.gov and no later than 1:00 PM ET on Monday, August 14, 2023.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. �Please note: �A SOLICITATION DOES NOT EXIST.� The Government will not cover any costs for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this notice. � The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 334220.� The small business size standard is 1,250 employees.
