Combined Synopsis-Solicitation for Commercial Items Last Updated: 02/01/22 Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ (36C25023Q0953). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-05. This solicitation is set aside 100% for small businesses. A Pyxis Medstation is needed for the opening of a new Infusion Clinic at the Akron Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). This equipment will be used to store and distribute medication to patients throughout this clinic. 2. Scope. This is a brand name only solicitation for a Pyxis Medstation. The Pyxis system is currently being used within the Cleveland VA system, and the new equipment will need to be able to interface with Vista Pharmacy packages and other BD/Carefusion products. 3. Specific Tasks. Award will be based upon a comparative evaluation of quotes in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 13. Comparative evaluation is the side by side pairwise comparison of quotes based on factors resulting in a Contracting Officer decision for the quote most favorable to the Government. Factors shall include price, delivery, and technical acceptability. The award will be made to the response most advantageous to the Government. Responses should contain your best terms, conditions.
