- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District(NWP)intends to negotiate/award a firm-fixed price (FFP) for supplies as a single source procurement to Rosemount, Inc. REASON FOR SINGLE SOURCE ACQUISITION: The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(i), Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The purpose is to provide supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The oil transmitter system is currently performing, and the oil level switches need to be added to this system so the components need to be interoperable with the current Emerson oil transmitter. 1. Four (4) each SCALABLE PRESSURE TRANSMITTER: Part no.3051S1CD2A2A11A2EM8 2. Four (4) eachRosemount 305 Integral Manifold Part no.0305RC32B11B4 3. One (1) each Base Trex Platform Part no.TREXLHPKLWS3S 4. One (1) jobStart-up for instruments -Service Background: Look Out Point and Dexter powerhouses require oil level switches. These switches ensure that oil does not leak into the environment. The switches need to be compatible with the already in place and functioning oil transmitter. The oil switches will provide more accurate readings; ensuring that the transmitters are not leaking oil. Justification: The oil transmitter is Emerson/Rosemount and all components connecting to this system need to be from the same manufacturer. The specific model and part numbers of the associated components are necessary to maintain consistency of oil level transmitter in use and throughout the Willamette Valley Project. Impact: Without the oil switches, oil could leak, and mechanics would not have any visibility until a sheen is seen in the water. This provides real time notification and quantifies any loss of oil. This prevents both safety and environmental hazards. The Government intends to solicit Rosemount, Inc. directly for this project on or around 07-SEPTEMBER-2023. Currently, a solicitation does not exist. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. *NO PHONE INQUIRIES, PLEASE. CAPABILITY STATEMENT SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE REVIEW ALL BELOW) Point of Contact name, email address and phone number, CAGE code and SAM UEI number (if available); In the event that the organization is a small business, please state the category of small business, such as 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB/VOSB, Women-Owned Small Business.
