- Description
- This is a Sources Sought soliciation for All Metal Gate Valves in support of the ALS-U Upgrade at Lawrence Berkeley National Labratory. This is a small business set aside. The subcontractor must design, manufacture and ship all deliverable items and documentation as identified within the Statement of Work. RF gate valve impedance characteristics are critical to the performance of the ALS-U storage ring. To assess a gate valve's impedance characteristics requires electromagnetic simulations and/or real-life beam-based testing on an existing machine. All gate valves in the upgraded ALS tunnel are required to be an all-metal construction due to the high radiation environment. The valves are UHV and required to achieve sealing leak rate better than 1e-10torr.l.s-1. The valves are also required to be bake-able to 200degC. For more complete information addressing the Scope of Work, and the Technical and Schedule requirements please reference the attached Statement of Work AL-1635-5575, and Specification AL-1635-5574 for the All Metal Gate Valves. All response must be on the attached RFI form - alternate submittal formats will not be accepted.
