- Description
- The Indian Health Services (IHS) Division of Acquisition Policy hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price award to Reach Out and Read, Inc.� This acquisition is for Software Licenses for maintaining �a clinic-based early child literacy program. The proposed contract action is for services for which IHS intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The basis of the sole source is that Reach Out and Read, Inc. is the only vendor capable of maintaining the existing data and software that will meet Government requirements and ensure continued IHS and federal terms of service regulatory compliance. This notice of intent is not a solicitation, requirement for proposal or a request for quote.� �The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any party with questions regarding this notice or the Government's intent to sole source may contact the Contract Specialist, Natalie Phillips, no later than 14Sep22 with the subject line indicating, �IHS Child Literacy Program Inquiry�.� The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred by responding to this notice.
