- Description
- The United States Forest Service (USFS) is pursuing the award of multiple five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts for Professional Geospatial services. The USFS anticipates making three to five awards from this action. The approximate start date for the contracts is 1 January 2024. The ceiling amount of the multiple award schedule is set to $70 Million. It is anticipated the formal RFP will be released as a 100% small business set-aside. Under NAICS 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service (USFS) Geospatial Management Office (GMO) has an ongoing national requirement for contracted geospatial services to support the National Forest System, State and Private Forestry, and Research and Development program areas.� Geospatial services are an essential component for meeting the planning, management, and program of work needs of the USDA Forest Service. These services include remote sensing, photogrammetry, geospatial analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cartography, geodesy, and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). These services are needed across all national programming and mission areas. The USFS manages approximately 193 million acres of lands across the United States and Puerto Rico.� These areas include national forests, grasslands, recreation areas, scenic areas, and volcanic monuments.� Geospatial activities are integral to all managed areas. The primary types of projects supported by this contract vehicle will address geospatially explicit needs for resource management for forest vegetation, rangeland monitoring, recreation, wilderness, watershed, wildlife, fisheries, ecosystem management, fire and fuels management, forest health, recreation, minerals and geology, engineering, infrastructure, and climate change.� Information technology (IT) services as defined by the FS Chief Information Office (CIO) are not considered within scope of this contract. A draft of the PWS can be found in the attachments. The Government shall not be bound to the information contained in this draft however, it is anticipated that the final will be similar to this draft. Questions will not be responded during this time, as this is merely a notice to promote market interest. All interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at SAM.gov | Entity Registrations before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for award and removed from consideration. Interested vendors must obtain complete solicitation package on SAM.gov, copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov and vendors will be solely responsible for viewing the solicitation posting in SAM.gov for amendments to the IFB. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
