- MDA Protocol Support Services, Intent to Sole Source / Sources Sought Agency: Other Defense Agency Office: Missile Defense Agency Location: MDA-MS NAICS:� 541611 PSC: R408 Contract Number:� HQ0147-18-C-0041 Notice Type:� Intent to Sole Source/Sources Sought The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Mission Support program office intends to issue a request for proposal, negotiate, and award a 1 year sole source extension to L.C. Wright Inc. under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements�. �L.C. Wright has been the prime contractor for these services since 2018. No other contractor has the trained personnel and capabilities to meet current requirements without imposing unacceptable delays and costs to the Agency. This extension is required to allow for completion of the competitive follow-on contract projected for award in 2024. The anticipated contract extension has a projected value of $0.54 million for protocol support services for the MDA with a period of performance of one base period of 7-months, one 2-month option, and three 1-month option periods.� L.C. Wright is the only source that can provide the protocol services required to ensure continued support to the MDA. This support includes management, planning, and execution of MDA�s various key leader engagements and hosting of Congressional, State, and Local Official Delegations, Foreign/Distinguished Visitors (including General Officers/Flag Officers/SES personnel, and foreign dignitaries) and awards, retirement, and other VIP and ceremonial and social functions that are of critical importance to the Agency�s mission. L.C. Wright has all the necessary requisites to perform all functions related to protocol support services for the MDA. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. MDA invites any other contractor that reasonably believes it can perform all areas of the protocol support services without incurring duplication of costs, and without introducing delays, to submit a written capability statement electronically to Jonathan Wood, Contracting Officer at jonathan.wood@mda.mil. Responses to this notice must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm Central Time, 10 calendar days after the date of this announcement. The government will not reimburse any costs associated with submitting a response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Place of Contract Performance: Ft.
