Description

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Madrid will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available. The Embassy of the United States in Madrid will issue a solicitation for cleaning services for the Chancery building and other USG facilities in Madrid, Spain.� The Contractor shall perform services in all designated spaces including, but not limited to, halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators, and stairways.� The Contractor shall participate in the U.S. Embassy recycling program.� The Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel necessary to accomplish the work in this contract.� Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes. The anticipated performance period is for one base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. �All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. Extent of the requirement: Chancery building: Estimated area:� 4,538 sq. meters Living Quarters:� Estimated qty. 50 per year // Average area: 230 sq. meters // Total estimated area 50 x 230 sq. meters = 11,500 sq. meters The Government plans to issue the solicitation in mid September 2023. The solicitation will be issued electronically on SAM.gov.� No paper copies will be mailed. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals. This opportunity is subject to 52.229-12 - Tax on Certain Foreign Procurements (FEB 2021).� Exemptions from the withholding under this clause are described at 26 CFR 1.5000C-1(d)(5) through (7).
