THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROJECT NUMBER: CO FTFW ROLF TRAILS(1) PROJECT NAME: ROCKY FLATS NWR TRAILS PROJECT DESCRIPTION:� This project is located within and adjacent to the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge) in Jefferson County, Colorado and includes construction of pedestrian bridges and a pedestrian underpass to provide improved access to and from the Refuge and construction of approximately 0.60 miles of trails improvement leading to the Refuge from the east and the north. SCOPE OF THE WORK:� The proposed improvements include construction of three (3) prefabricated pedestrian bridges, one (1) prefabricated steel pony truss superstructure supported on cast-in�place concrete abutments with wingwalls, and single column cast-in-place concrete piers over Indiana Street and two (2) prefabricated steel pony truss superstructure supported on cast-in-place concrete abutments with wingwalls over Woman Creek and Rock Creek within the Refuge. Also proposed is a concrete box culvert under State Highway 128 that will serve as a pedestrian access point from the north side of the Refuge. New trails will be constructed on the north and the east side of the Refuge to provide connectivity with existing trail network outside of the Refuge.� Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) will construct the trails within the Refuge. The contractor for this project will be able to access the creek crossing using FWS constructed trails or existing access roads within the Refuge. PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS: Approximate quantities of anticipated principal work items include: 4,000 cubic yards of Roadway Excavation 3,000 square yards of Roadway Aggregate, Method 2 153 cubic yards of Structural Concrete, Class A (AE) 3 Prefabricated Steel Bridges 335 linear feet of Drilled Shaft, 24-Inch Diameter 60 linear feet of Drilled Shaft, 48-Inch Diameter 61 linear feet of 12 Feet Span, 10 Feet Rise Precast Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert 650 linear feet of Fixture, Pedestrian Railing The estimated price range of the project work is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000.
