Description
The purpose of this amendment is to: 1. Answer questions received. 2. Make changes the statement of need. See attached revised RFQ. 3. Remove 52.211-6 Brand name or equal from the addendum at 52.212-1, Instructions to offerors. 4. Add attachments 2, 3, 4, and 5 for two pictures of the area, two logos, and one revised RFQ incorporating amendment 0002. 5. Extend the due date for offers to 8 Sept 2023 at 4:00 PM EST/ET. 1. Questions and Answers: Question 1. Is it required that the external training rig be mounted to the external sidewalls of the Shed with the legs touching the ground, for safety and stability purposes? Will offerors that attach the external squat racks/rigging to any other portion of the container (that is not the side walls) be deemed technically unacceptable? Answer 1. Consideration can be given to any design submitted as long as it meets or exceeds the needs of the hospital and fits within the allotted space and allows for safe movement of people/traffic. Question 2. Will custom unit logos be required on the Shed? Answer 2. Yes, two logos for each equipment container. Please see attachments added for examples. Question 3. Will proposals that do not include the items as listed in the minimum component listing of the RFQ be deemed technically unacceptable? Answer 3. Yes, the minimum components listed are needed. All the requested components must be able to be stored in only one of the two boxes. The second box will be used to store some of our existing equipment. Question 4. Will a delivery timeline of 120-180 days be acceptable? Answer 4: Extended delivery timelines due to manufacturing times is acceptable. Question 5. Do all proposals need to utilize 3 x 3 , 7-gauge steel with a minimum grade of S235 or A283C for the external steel rigging components to be considered? Answer 5: Please see revisions to the statement of need. Question 6. Will proposals that offer external rigging that is not hot-dip galvanized steel to American Standard ASTM A 123/A 123M be deemed technically unacceptable? Answer 6. Please see revisions to the statement of need. If different manufacturing process result in application of different methods, the offeror must provide literature/proof on how the different method actually meets or exceeds the technical specifications in order to be considered for evaluation. Question 7. Is a limited lifetime warranty on the external functional training rig and a minimum of a one-year warranty on the accessories a requirement for any bid submitted? Answer 7. Government requirement is for a standard manufacturers industry warranty term, as defined by each individual manufacturer. Statement 1. We are asking that you add terminology to your solicitation that states vendors with equal competing products and their processes and methods will suffice with meeting the specific terminology stated for the BeaverFit brand. Response to statement 1. Please see revisions to the statement of need. Statement 2. Also, we find it interesting that you require 2 x shred sheds plus the rigging to fit the required equipment and racking. Response to statement 2. Per the requirement of the hospital, a two container design is necessary for best application within the space available. See new attachments for picture of the area.
