- PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Norfolk Station Norfolk (NSN) SET-ASIDE STATUS: This requirement is intended be solicited as Sole Source � Other than Full & Open requirement under NAICS Code 333914 � Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing. DESCRIPTION: This requirement is to rent/lease a submersible fire pump that will be used for radiological emergencies at NRMD-Norfolk. NRMD-Norfolk requires a mobile fire pump that can have the same capabilities as the fire trucks for naval installations and therefore be fully redundant if the emergency arises. The following specifications are required: 10,000 GPM, submersible diesel powered centrifugal pump (trailer mounted), with onboard fuel tank capable of 8 hour run time, and no more than ten years old.� Period of performance is for a base year with 2 option years and option to extend additional 6 months. During rental period, preventative maintenance is required in accordance with manufacturer recommendations along with 24hr service to equipment in the event a repair or replacement is needed.� Please see attached Draft Statement of Work / Performance Work Statement for additional information. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:� The solicitation and all amendments issued will be in electronic form.� THE SOLICIATION IS NOT YET AVAILABLE however, it is expected to be available on or about September 5th, 2023. �Once available, the solicitation will be posted to the GPE: https://www.sam.gov under the proposed solicitation number. �Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above website. After solicitation is issues, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Government. By submitting a quotation, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quotation. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the vendors at any time prior to award. By submission of a quotation, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the time the quote was submitted, prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by visiting https://www.sam.gov.
