Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to IDEXX Laboratories. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement as described below. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the National Institutes of Health intends to to continue using a previously purchased software program, DVMax, to record and manage the veterinary medical records for over 2,000 animals within the program. The�requirement is for an animal tracking database and supports the professional needs of veterinary practice at NIH. The license agreement for this database is inclusive of upgrades�and technical support necessary to keep the database compliant with the ORS-NIH networking�requirements. The program office has paid an initial fee for the DVMax database to use this database and therefore has an investment its�continued use for record keeping and reports generation. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.� However, any party that believes it can satisfy the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement. It is anticipated that an award will be issued within five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.
