- Another question was raised. During the site walk through, we were apprised of the presence of asbestos beneath the flooring, and it was suggested that we over lay the current flooring. However, upon careful examination of the existing flooring, it became evident that this approach would be unfeasible due to the inadequate bonding capabilities of VCP glue to the preexisting surface. While this may not pose a significant challenge in terms of construction, we kindly request authorization to either remove the current flooring or figure a different flooring plan. we have reached out to multiple vendors and received the same answers, please advise. Answer for this: The correct and updated version of the renovations specifies vinyl plank flooring be installed over the existing floor. That is floating floor, which should alleviate the bonding issues.� This solicitation has been extended due to the SOW update. the extension is until 09/13/2023. The SOW has been updated and added. Additionally RFI-1 and answers have been uploaded. Updated Statement of Work loaded. Excel spreadsheet with requested items or their equivalent loaded. REQUEST THAT EACH PROJECT BE SEPARATE ESTIMATES. A second site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday 08/29/2023 at 9:00 AM CST. Please send the names of personnel requesting to attend with the name of the copany they represent to lynn.hults@usda.gov by 3:00 PM CST on Monday 08/28. The statement of work will be adjusted shortly. this adjustment will provide more definitive details on the colors and material we would like to have or their equivalencies. The Government requires performance of the work described in these documents A. MS. B. Competition is set aside for Small Businesses. Applicable NAICS code is 236210 Industrial Building Contractors C. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000 D. Prospective offerors shall complete block 14, 15 and 19. E. Prospective offerors shall be registered with Systems for Awards Management(SAM)with an active registration.
