- Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 5 (NCO 5) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Evolve Technologies Corporation, utilizing an open market procurement tool for a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The purpose for this FFP contract is to radiologic reading table system for the newly constructed Mammography Center of Excellence the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The requirement is for a custom designed floating work surface designed to reinforce the integration of several high-acuity radiologic monitors while providing ergonomic support to the radiologist during the reading of clinical mammography radiologic exams when the radiologist is focused on a visual field larger than a two-monitor landscape. The NAICS code for this contract action 337214 - Office Furniture (Except Wood) Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard: 1,100 Employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 7110 Office Furniture. Based on market research, The Department of Veterans Affairs has deemed that Evolve Technologies Corporation is the sole source of radiology-specific systems that will build the adjustable workstations to fit the available space (see image below).Their workstations are custom designed per each individual monitor supporting PACS, OIT and other monitors at one time, as well as providing ADA compliance. With the following information above, utilizing authority found in FAR 6.302-1 (a)(i)(A), Evolve Technologies Corporation is the sole source to meet the Washington DC VA Medical Center s need. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; Interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement no later than Friday, September 15, 2023 at 12:00 am ET. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required equipment. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C24523Q1200 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. If by September 15, 2023 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Dept of VA shall negotiate solely with Evolve Technologies Corporation. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Specialist, Johao Stewart by email at johao.stewart@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and specific technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements, including proof of training and certification for performing service support requested for the requirement.
