- Description
- Notice of Intent to Award a follow-on Contract THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A LOGICAL FOLLOW-ON CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations. USFWS IRTM intends to award a firm fixed price follow-on contract under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(C) In the interest of economy and efficiency, the new work is a logical follow-on to an original Federal Supply Schedule order provided that the original order was placed in accordance with the applicable Federal Supply Schedule ordering procedures. The original order or BPA must not have been previously issued under sole-source or limited-sources procedures. The logical follow-on contract will be awarded to: Cellco Partnership (DBA: Verizon Wireless) 1 Verizon Way Basking Ridge, New Jersey 07920 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 517312, Wireless Telecommunications Carriers (except Satellite). The object of this follow-on award is to have continued wireless services from Verizon Wireless, the current provider. The USFWS, Division of Engineering Infrastructure initiated a competitive solicitation effort in 2018 in hopes of identifying and soliciting vendors capable of meeting the requirements for an Enterprise Wireless solution. A Technical Evaluation Panel comprised of members from FWS reviewed all the submissions and determined Verizon Wireless could meet the technical needs of the FWS. This was based on multiple criteria, including, but not limited to, FedRAMP authorization and certification. Verizon Wireless is the current provider of these services and a follow-on contract to Verizon Wireless is needed for continued wireless support. The FSSI-W contract ended in May 2023, and a 6--month extension, under authority 52.217-8 Option to Extend Service, was approved and is currently in place. The period of performance for the extension is May 2023, to November 2023. A follow-on contract is needed for an additional 4-months to allow time to set up a new solicitation package for a new contract. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Capability statements shall be submitted by e-mail ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment to the following address: Lorenzo_aragon@fws.gov. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS/OFFERS WILL BE HONORED
