Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the FY28-33 Planning and Accomplishment of the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) Inactivation, Defueling, CVN 69 Class and ship specific advance planning, and the initiation of Class early-start efforts. The requirements will be solicited from Huntington Ingalls Incorporated, Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607. This requirement will be procured, without full and open competition, from the only qualified sources capable of performing a RCOH on a large deck nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding directly. This synopsis is being posted to the System for Award Management (SAM) webpage located at https://SAM.gov is the single point of entry for the posting of synopses and solicitations to the Internet. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Costs incurred to submit a capability statement or proposal are solely the costs of the submitter; such costs will not be reimbursed by the Government. NOTE: This post-solicitation synopsis is for informational purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts.� The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis.� This is not a request for proposals, a promise to issue a request for proposals, or a promise by the Government to pay for information received in response to this synopsis or any subsequent synopsis.� The information contained herein is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
