- Description
- Special Notice regarding Solicitation W15QKN-23-R-0056 for the XM919 Individual Assault Munition (IAM): Due to an administrative issue, the Government has temporarily removed this Solicitation from the SAM system. The solicitation will be re-posted sometime during the week of 18 September 2023. Despite this temporary removal, prospective offerors and interested parties are advised that this is an active solicitation and the deadline for proposal submissions remains unchanged at 5:00PM EDT on 25 October 2023. There will be no changes to the requirements specified in the XM919 IAMsolicitation. For reference, this requirement is summarized below: U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS), is issuing this request for proposal (RFP) for the production of the XM919 Individual Assault Munition (IAM), utilizing Full and Open Competition (F&OC) procedures. The XM919 IAM tactical munition is a disposable, lightweight, single shot, multi-target, and Fire from Enclosure (FFE) capable Shoulder Launched Munition (SLM). The XM919 IAM system consists of the XM919 IAM tactical munition and training devices to include the XM922 Sub-Caliber Trainer, associated Sub-Caliber Tracer Cartridge, Field Handling Trainer (FHT), and spare parts. The XM919 IAM is for combat units at the squad level, employed by an individual Soldier. This will reduce the Soldiers need to carry multiple systems, as they will no longer have to choose between an anti-armor or an anti-structure capability.
