Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FLIR Model T1020 Thermal Imager with no radio option SS-TIGTA-23-110 The Bureau of the Fiscal Service, on behalf of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), intends to make an award on a sole source basis to Teledyne Flir, 550 Main Street Rm 5-491, Cincinnati, OH 45202. This product is solely offered by Teledyne Flir. Teledyne Flir developed and owns the propriety and patented software and algorithms that are used in these products and support the services specifically required for this acquisition; thereby the proposed source has the sole unique technical and other resources required for this acquisition.� Teledyne is the only vendor that will remove the embedded GPS from the equipment without voiding the warranty. TFSD cannot have embedded GPS because the transmissions from the GPS will interfere with investigative jobs.� Subject to final approval, The Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS), on behalf of the TIGTA, intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to Teledyne Flir, 550 Main Street Rm 5-491, Cincinnati, OH 45202 for Teledyne FLIR Thermal Imager. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. �A request for more information, or a copy of the solicitation, will not be considered an affirmative response to this Special Notice. Telephone responses or inquiries to this Special Notice will NOT be accepted. Responses to this request shall be submitted on or before 12:00 p.m. ET on September 18, 2023, by email to purchasing@fiscal.treasury.gov , Attn: April Rinehart. The following file extensions are not allowable and application materials/data submitted with these extensions cannot be considered: .bat, .cmd, .com, .exe, .pif, .rar, .scr, .vbs, .hta, .cpl, and .zip files. Microsoft Office compatible documents are acceptable. No other information regarding this Special Notice will be provided at this time. This notice does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. All vendors responding to this notice are advised that their response is not a request that will be considered for contract award. �Responses will be shared with the federal government agencies as part of market research for fulfilling future similar requirements.
