This announcement is considered market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. �NO SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME.� DLA Land and Maritime is issuing this Source Sought Synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the following requirement: ITEM: �Electron Tube NSN: �5960-01-244-1591 Approved Source(s): Communications & Power Industries (99313) P/N VTH-6176D6 Communications & Power Industries (0MH33) P/N VTH-6176D6 NSN 5960-01-244-1591 is to be procured: IAW BASIC DRAWING NR 97942 585R420 REVISION NR AC DTD 01/06/2012 PART PIECE NUMBER: 585R420H07 IAW REFERENCE DRAWING NR 97942 PDS21869 REVISION NR BA DTD 08/27/2004 PART PIECE NUMBER: IAW REFERENCE STD NR MIL-STD-130N(1) NOT 1 REVISION NR N DTD 08/26/2019 PART PIECE NUMBER: IAW REFERENCE DRAWING NR 97942 TO-00-85B-3 REVISION NR DTD 03/01/2015 PART PIECE NUMBER: Due to the criticality of the item, procurement is restricted to sources specified on the ""Source Controlled"" drawing. As of 9/14/2023, Communications & Power Industries (99313) / (0MH33) are �the only known approved source for this item.� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �� NOTE: The cited drawing is a ""source controlled"" drawing and as of the date of this notice, only the source(s) cited on the drawing have been approved. Even though sources and approved part numbers are provided, the items furnished must meet the requirements of the cited drawing. Any potential offerors who are interested in qualifying their products for purpose of future acquisitions must contact the cognizant design activity specified on the source-controlled drawing. There may be additional approved sources that have not been reflected on the drawing at this time. These sources must provide documentation from the contact the cognizant design activity specified on the source-controlled drawing, indicating that your company is now an ""approved"" source. A Firm Fixed contract is anticipated for a quantity of 67 each to be shipped to a DLA stocking location. Price Breaks requested from qty 58 - qty 87 Once the solicitation is issued, Procurement Note L22 Restriction of Alternate Offers for Source Controlled Items (SEP 2017) will apply. The Purpose of this synopsis is to locate sources interested in becoming approved sources and for any additional approved sources. Interested parties should send a letter of interest to the contracting officer, Amy Plymale-Hillis via email at amy.plymale-hillis@dla.mil by September 22, 2023 . The response should include CAGE code; product line; quality certifications; company size; customer base and appropriate POC information. The company will then be place on the bidders list so that notification can be sent when the solicitation is available. This RFI is for market research purposes only. Any information submitted is at the company's own expense. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of capability statements in connection with the market survey. Any information provided is voluntary.�
