Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, CA intends to establish a single source contract with Advanced Office Systems, 4060 B Pike Lane, Concord, CA 94520, for Megastation Maintenance. The authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by only one source reasonably available is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. Travis AFB currently has Kardex Equipment at multiple locations. The manufacturer, Kardex, requires technicians to be certified to maintain their equipment and will only sell brand parts to authorized dealers and service providers. Kardex has issued an exclusivity authorization to Advanced Office Systems for sales and service in northern California. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive quotations. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated, however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
