- Page 2 of 2 Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to make a sole source award to BioMerieux, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other supplies will satisfy the Agency s requirement. A copy of the approved Justification and Approval is attached to this notice. The proposed procurement is to provide scheduled maintenance, repairs, and software updates for the Biomerieux Vitek MS and MYLA. Services will include recommended preventative maintenance, all labor, travel, expenses, and all parts for an unlimited number of on-demand service visits and telephone support calls around the clock. The contract includes remote tele diagnostics features for troubleshooting instrumentation with modem access and requires specialized training. Only the manufacturer s Field Service Engineers are certified and qualified to service BioMerieux instrments. Any use of unauthorized service from third parties can void all equipment warranties. The period of performance will be for one base period plus four option years. The NAICS code is 811210. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued. However, interested sources may submit a capability statement to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 3:00pm EST on October 10,2023. Responses will only be accepted via email to Lakiesha.anderson@va.gov using the following title in the email s subject line: 36C24823Q2063 BioMeriux PM and Repair Services. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
