Description: Due to the lack of replacement units and the importance of this piece of firefighting equipment, and the urgent need to return it to service as soon as possible, it is requested that sole source be used to expedite this request. Western Branch is certified and the closest repair facility in traveling distance. The delay caused by requesting open bids could jeopardize the safety of government personnel and assets resulting in adverse effects to the mission at Naval Station Norfolk.
