Description

This effort is a competitively awarded contract off of the ARMR BAA.� As a Research and Development effort, the resulting contract is awarded as CPFF Contract Type as the level of program risk does not permit use of a Fixed Price Contract Type. This contract provides for research to investigate features and metrics required to detect hypoxic hypoxia, define the hardware and software requirements to measure these features, define the design of experiment to illicit the identified require features integrate helmet mounted eye-feature extraction and secondary senser with hypoxia detection algorithms, and capture / analyze data collected from human test subjects to build a dataset for hypoxia detection. Furthermore, this contract provides research to investigate reduction in head-born weight for Helmet Mounted Display Systems (HMDS) and improve HMDS capabilities for improved pilot situational awareness.
