Description

This notice announces the intent by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) to�purchase one (1) Rodent Gait analysis system from Noldus Information Technology Inc. located at�1501 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. USAMRICD requires a rodent gait analysis system capable of utilizing parameters including swing speed, stride length, paw intensity and interlimb coordination to be calculated for qualitative and quantitative analysis of individual footfalls and gait of each rodent; measuring nerve specific indexes specifically sciatic functional index, tibial functional index and the peroneal functional index; eliminating velocity as a compounding variable, improving the validity of collected data; and distinguishing differences between complete and incomplete contact with the floor, allowing the system to identify changes in dimensions, positioning and timing of each footprint. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.203(a). USAMRAA intends to publish a solicitation no sooner than 15 days after publishing this synopsis. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the�purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested concerns must submit their capability statement in writing to the email address listed below by the listed due date and time. Submissions that request documentation or request additional information or that only ask questions will not be considered affirmative responses and will not be considered valid. Responses not considered valid will not be evaluated further. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the solicitation will be issued as sole source. All questions and responses concerning this notice shall be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Dan Pikus, at daniil.y.pikus.civ@health.mil.� Submissions shall be received no later than 1:00PM Eastern Time, 19 October 2023.
