Description
SITE VISIT. Date: Friday, October 20th, 2023 Time: 9:30 am (EST) Location: Orlando VAMC at Lake Nona, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827-7403 Meet at the south main entrance foyer area (by piano). At the conclusion of the walk-thru at Lake Nona, participants will travel (transportation not provided) for a walk-thru of the Lake Baldwin VAMC & Lakemont Campus. QUESTIONS & RESPONSES. Q01. In the RFQ, it states that the OVHCS elevator maintenance contractor will be available to assist. Can we assume that they will be the party that performs the testing and the inspector is there to ""witness"" only?  A01. The awardee (from this solicitation) is the responsible for providing to the Government ALL inspection services and reporting in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The current OVAHCS Elevator Maintenance contractor will be available to provide escort & access to the elevators, witness the inspections, and make minor adjustments as needed during the inspection cycle. Q02. Who is the incumbent contractor?  A02. The incumbent contractor is Tekton C.C., Inc., 2 Walnut St, North East MD 21901. Q03. The numbers listed on the solicitation, are these the hours needed for the year or the quantity of elevators to be cleaned?  A03. The numbers listed on the solicitation represent the quantity of inspections to be provided each performance period / year. For example, Line Item 0001 is for Semi-Annual Inspection of Hydraulic Elevators and has a Qty of 16ea for the 1-year performance period. According to the Performance Work Statement (PWS), inspections occur semi-annually (or twice per year) for each elevator. There is a total of (8) hydraulic elevators multiplied by 2 semi-annual inspections per year which equals a total qty of 16ea inspections per year for this line item. Q04. Is the RFQ set-aside for Small Businesses? A04. The solicitation is set-aside for Veteran-Owned, Small Business concerns. Q05. How many elevators in the buildings? A05. See RFQ Attachment 1 Elevator Listing for the location of the elevators included in this requirement. Q06. How many floors? A06. See RFQ Attachment 1 Elevator Listing for the number of floors serviced by each elevator. Q07. Are the elevators Track or Hydraulic elevators? A07. See RFQ Attachment 1 Elevator Listing for the type of each elevator. Q08. What is the duration of the contract? A08. The contract will have a 5-year period of performance, beginning 01/01/2024 through 12/31/2028.
