The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 334516. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 5 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide ClearView Magnifier for the Baltimore VA Medical Center. ITEM INFORMATION ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QUANTITY UNIT UNIT PRICE AMOUNT 0001 6.00 EA __________________ __________________ ClearView+ 22"" Full HD UFA CVPFHD22UFA LOCAL STOCK NUMBER: CVPFHD22UFA GRAND TOTAL __________________ Statement of Work for the ClearView 22 HD UFA Introduction This request seeks a solution to the proper inspecting of surgical instruments. During a recent review by National Office of Sterile Processing it was found that the Sterile Processing Services staff had great difficulty viewing surgical instruments under the provided magnifying lights. The current Magnified Lights have less than a 10-inch visual field and only 10x magnification. This has led to poor quality of instrument inspections. Scope The ClearView 22 HD UFA system has a 22inch screen on a magnified viewer that will allow for greater visualization of surgical instruments. The View provides up to 70x magnification. This will allow for the proper inspection of surgical instrumentation. Functional Capabilities: Continuous magnification: 3.4X - 62X Auto-focus HD 720P camera Focus lock. Superior video processing for extending reading pleasure. 22-inch full color TFT widescreen display Adjustable document viewing modes: Full color photo mode 2 standard high contrast color combinations for easier reading 16 selectable high contrast color combinations for easier reading (optional) Adjustable brightness Adjustable contrast Overview function (optional) Position locator (optional) Reading lines (optional) Window blinds (optional) Integrated lighting for even illumination 4-directional Ultra Flexible Arm (UFA) for ergonomic reading comfort Easy glide reading platform with an electronic brake. PC compatibility via HDMI Deliverables Specifications The ClearView is a modular system consisting of a base unit (integrated control panel), an electronic box with camera module and sources and input/output connectors, and a ClearView 22 high brightness monitor. Required Functional capabilities: A ClearView magnifying system at each workstation in the Sterile Processing preparation and packaging room will allow staff the ability to properly scan instruments for instruments that are worn or broken. The item is plug and play device. There are not special instillation requirements. Training/Implementation- Devices will be installed at each workstation and staff will be given in-services by the Sterile Processing Services Nurse Educator.
