Description

The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth, Virginia, is seeking white papers / capability statements from companies capable of providing the services of qualified and capable professionals to assist with addressing a critical workforce development challenge. As NNSY adapts to evolving operational requirements, the need for skilled electricians and electronics technicians has become increasingly vital. To meet this demand efficiently, NNSY is exploring alternative solutions beyond traditional hiring practices. The primary purpose of this requirement is to obtain industry support in the development of training programs, curricula, practical simulations, and on-the-job training (OJT) for transitioning mechanics and other tradespersons into the roles of electricians and electronics technicians.�
