- Introduction: This is a Sources Sought notice requesting information for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 10 procedures. This is not a solicitation, nor does it guarantee a solicitation will be issued. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This is not a request for proposals, and it does not obligate the government in any manner. The mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition, and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) is to support our Nation�s Veterans by providing acquisition and logistics solutions for VA.� In meeting these goals, VA TAC is responsible for preparing and executing quality contracts that support the Information Technology (IT) efforts and needs of its customers across VA, which enables our customers to provide best value solutions to Veterans and their families. Requirements: VA TAC is conducting market research to identify companies that can provide commercial-off-the-shelf virtual, �live� instructor-led training courses related to intermediate and advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Training will be delivered primarily to General Schedule series 1102 (GS-1102) Contract Specialists and Contracting Officers who support, write, and administer acquisition contracts for IT commodity and services in accordance with Federal law, regulation, and policy.� Training attendees may include, but are not limited to: GS-0801 General Engineering and GS-0854 Computer Engineering professionals who support Contracting and TAC business partners in the development and drafting of technical requirements and have expertise in one or more engineering service related to IT.� GS-0340 Program Managers and GS-1101 General Business and Industry professionals who support Contracting and TAC business partners in management of programs and TAC organizational needs. Training course attendance is 25-30 students.� VA TAC understands that your organization may have a maximum number of students allowed for each class to ensure quality over quantity.� All training courses shall be taught using Microsoft Office 365 courseware, meet the requirements identified in this PWS and be �live� virtual instructor led, delivered in real-time, and not pre-recorded. Contractors shall effectively utilize demos, knowledge checks, and hands-on learning activities as appropriate. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with the Government POCs to release a welcome letter and virtual training invites for attendees.� The Contractor shall provide Certificates of Completion for each training course. Task 1 � Microsoft Office 365 Word Training This intermediate training course shall not exceed one business day (8 hrs) in length. Training shall be varied to include hands on experience and activities. Instructors are encouraged to be Microsoft Certified Trainers. The following areas shall be covered: Customizing formats using styles and themes Controlling the flow of a document Organizing content using tables and charts Formatting paragraphs efficiently Collaborating on documents Securing documents Using templates to automate document formatting Automating repetitive tasks with Macros Task 2 � Microsoft Office 365 Excel Training This training course shall not exceed two (2) full business days (16hrs) in length.� Day 1 shall be focused on an intermediate level.� Day 2 shall be focused on an advanced level.� Training shall be varied to include hands on experience and activities. The following areas shall be covered: Analyze data, extract actionable information and present the information to stakeholders Working with functions and lists Visualize data with charts Use pivot tables and Pivot Charts Construct formulas and formula auditing Learn how to link and reference work within multiple worksheets and workbooks Collaborating on workbooks while ensuring data protection Create sparkline and mapping data Automate workbook functionality Forecasting data to determine potential outcomes and data trends Task 3 � Office 365 PowerPoint Training This intermediate training course shall not exceed one (1) full business days (8hrs) in length. Training shall be varied to include hands on experience and activities. The following areas shall be covered: Customizing design templates Use of tables and charts Incorporating video, audio and animation into presentations Collaborating on presentations Integrating data from other Microsoft applications Task 4 � Acrobat Adobe Training This intermediate training course shall not exceed one (1) full business days (8hrs) in length. Training shall be varied to include hands on experience and activities. The following areas shall be covered: Creating and saving Adobe PDF files Reading and working with PDF files Reducing file size Making scanned text editable and searchable Converting web pages to Adobe PDF Searching PDF documents Printing PDF documents Filling out PDF forms Adding signatures and security �Please provide the following information for each course identified above: Detailed Course overview Learning objectives Course content Duration of course Min/Max number of students allowed per course Cost per course Please answer the following questions and include the requested information as part of your response to this sources sought. General Include the following identification information as it pertains to your organization: Company Name, Company Unique Entity Identification Number, Company Address, Company points of contact name, telephone number and email address VA anticipates that this effort would fall within North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 611420, Computer Training, which has a size standard of $16.0M. If you believe there is a more appropriate NAICS code, please provide that information to the Government with your rationale. Are you a small or large business under this NAICS and size standard?� If you are a small business, what type of small business are you? Are you able to comply with FAR 52.219-6 Notice of Small Business Set-Aside and 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting in execution of this effort?� Are you able to comply with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and with subcontracting limitations identified in 13 CFR 125.6 in execution of this effort? Identify existing contract vehicles (GSA, T4NG, NASA SEWP V, etc.) in which you are a contract holder that can be utilized to procure these services.�� With respect to the subject effort, would you be the prime contractor? As the Prime Contractor, what percentage of training would your company perform? Capability Statement Please submit a capability statement describing your company�s abilities to provide the requested training identified in this Sources Sought notice. The capability statement shall be limited to 10 pages. Results Information Sources Sought responses will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the Government's evaluation of the information received. Any information or comment resulting from this source sought request that is determined to be useful will be used to help the Government further define their requirement and may be incorporate into the final version of the Product Description. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted under this Sources Sought notice.
