- PROJECT NO. 632-21-114 Replace Roofs and Repair Façade Building 12. This Project will replace the roofs and repair historical brick and stone facades at Building 12 at the Northport VA Medical Center located on 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work as required by the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to general construction, structural, mechanical, plumbing, lightning protection and electrical, alterations, tuck pointing, stone work, facia and soffit work, storm drainage work, site work related to storm drainage, storm drainage work, roof work, lintel replacement, minor re-grading, possible ACM abatement work as called out in the drawings, related minor HVAC, plumbing and electrical work, lightning protection work, ACM abatement work (as shown in the design package), general construction work including demolition, necessary removal of existing structures and certain other items as required to facilitate the work in the scope of work of this project. Building 12 is physically located at the Northport VAMC in Northport New York. Building 12 is constructed according to an H-shaped plan: major volumes are narrow and organized around double-loaded corridors to maximize natural light and ventilation, a building-comfort strategy common in medical buildings laid out before artificial air-conditioning and ventilation services became typical. Period of Performance: Completion date is 360 calendar days from Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) date.
