This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the government for form a binding contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responders are solely responsible for any and all expenses associated with responding to this notice. Purpose The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine if there are sufficient Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and/or Small Businesses to warrant a 100% set-aside for such socio-economic concerns. This notice is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the requirements described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. If adequate interest is not received by the closing date of this notice, this requirement will not be set-aside. Interested firms must reply in writing, via email to janice.jones@va.gov. Response Requirement Responses to this notice shall be complete and shall include the following: A statement indicating your intention of submitting a quote/bid/proposal in response to a solicitation for this requirement. Entity Information: Company Name. Company Address. Point of Contact (POC). POC email & phone number. Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). Business Type (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business, Large Business, WOSB, etc.) Capability Statement that addresses entity s qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. SDVOSB & VOSB firms shall be certified by https://veterans.certify.sba.gov. ****************************************************************************** This requirement is for Construction Services. The contractor shall provide Construction Management services to remove existing lobby flooring on the ground floor of building 200E and install new flooring at the VA Maine Health Care System (Togus) in accordance with this scope of work. The existing lobby flooring of building 200E includes all of corridors E70, E71, E72 and C70 from the front doors to the Emergency Department, Outpatient Pharmacy and to the elevator bank. The existing green, slate tile is easily damaged and creates a tripping hazard in a high traffic area of the hospital. The purpose of this project is to fully remove the existing, failing slate tile and to prepare the underflooring and install all new terrazzo tile.
