- The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW 13.106(b) to obtain preventative maintenance on existing Alcon equipment. Period of performance: Base: 2/1/2024-1/31/2025 Option 1: 2/1/2025-1/31/2026 Option 2: 2/1/2026-1/31/2027 Option 3: 2/1/2027-1/31/2028 Option 4: 2/1/2028-1/31/2029 Basic description of the requirement: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Northport VA Medical Center has (2) Centurion and (1) Consellation LXT Alcon units which require annual preventive maintenance services as per manufacturer specifications by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) trained certified technicians. Only Alcon personnel are authorized to maintain or repair Alcon equipment to ensure patient safety. Alcon does not certify third parties to repair equipment. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements of providing Alcon OEM maintenance and service. Full-service contract shall include all necessary labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and parts required to perform repair and PM on listed equipment. All work shall be in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) standards. Vendor shall have access to OEM s parts, manuals, and schematics to perform the service. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by January 2, 2024 at 4:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE ALCON PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE in the subject line. All documents submitted, will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contracting Officer Leia LaBruna at Leia.Labruna@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
