Request For Information (RFI) Responses Project: VASNHCS Circuit Breaker & Feeder Testing Project ID: 654-24-006 Solicitation ID: 36C26124Q0160 RFI # 1 Question: Has any of these underrated components outlined in the 2021 report been replaced with adequate ratings? Answer: Issues from 2021 testing are known and have been repaired. RFI # 2 Question: If VA Sierra Nevada Health Care Center is aware of the above-highlighted concerns and has developed the plans for isolation, we request you share them with us. If you don t have isolation plans, we suggest including in this bid to develop the equipment isolation plans in consultation with you. Answer: Upon an instance in which a breaker fails testing, the VA representative shall be notified immediately, and VA will be responsible for the repairs. If the repairs can not be made immediately, the VA will be responsible for isolation of the branch circuit. RFI # 3 Question: If the underrated components outlined in the 2021 report have not been upgraded, we suggest VA Sierra Nevada Health Care include in this scope to study & recommend alternate mitigation plans to overcome the rating bottlenecks. Generally, these measures involve tripping upstream or high-voltage circuit breakers that take out of service large load areas in addition to the faulted circuit. Answer: Prior to testing work, a schedule for shutdowns will be established with the VA and contractor.
