Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes and shall NOT be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339112. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking firms for functionally Brand name or equal equipment that are authorized distributors or manufacturers of the brand they are offering. STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS Northport VAMC is looking to replace optometry chairs in the eye clinic. The chairs currently used int the eye clinic special testing room are a constant safety concern for the optometry staff. Due to the poor ergonomics and varying designs, Veterans are at risk of sliding off the chair when positioning for ophthalmic imaging or moving from one station to the next. BRAND NAME OR EQUAL VELA 70034 Move Ophthalmology chair. There will be a total of: 5 Features: For eye exams where the patient needs to be transported between different devices and equipment in a quick and safe manner. Large seat and backrest. Lockable chair base provides secure patient positioning. Smooth-running wheels and push bar make it easy to transfer the patient between different examination devices. The patient only needs to sit down and get up from the chair once, which speeds up the examination process. Clinician can lock the wheels once moved to a different location or position ensuring patient safety. Patients can be quickly positioned at the optimal height for staff and devices using the electric height adjustment. Patients can easily sit down and get up from the chair without help by using the armrests and stable base. Optimal ergonomic working position for staff with no unnecessary bending forward, thanks to the electric height adjustment and foot-operated brake. The push bar makes it easy to transfer the patient between different equipment. Stable base and armrests make it easy for the patient to sit down and get up from the chair. Electric height adjustment ensures fast and correct patient positioning to suit different equipment. Chair can easily be locked with the foot brake, ensuring the patient remains in a fixed position. Footrest provides extra patient stability, which assists exam precision. Measurements: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will NOT pay for any information submitted under this announcement. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112. Please note delivery timeframe of 45 days is required, please notate delivery in your response.
