Description

This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Firm-Fixed price purchase order to�VERTOSOFT LLC, 1602 VILLAGE MARKET BOULEVARD 215 LEESBURG VA 20175 on a sole source basis to provide IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager Software license maintenance and support. (4000) E0BDDLL BigFix LifeCycle Client Device SW & Support Renewal Requirements No cost application updates E-mail notifications of updates Web Knowledge Base for 24x7 support 24x7 coverage for telephone technical support Escalation process for critical issues Period of Performance One Year The NIH Clinical Center (CC) is a 200-bed federally funded, biomedical research hospital located on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The Clinical Center is the delivery setting for all NIH intramural clinical research protocols. The hospital complex consists of two main facilities that are connected to each other by �bridges�. The original 14-story building is 2.5 million square feet and continues to house the clinical laboratories, imaging sciences, surgical suites, and several outpatient clinics.� The new 870,000 square foot facility houses inpatient units and day hospitals.� The Clinical Center accounts for about half of all NIH-funded clinical research beds in the United States and accommodates about 7,000 inpatient and 70,000 outpatient visits a year. Patients are admitted to the NIH Clinical Center from all over the world for the sole purpose of participating in a clinical research protocol. The Department of Clinical Research Informatics (DCRI) is responsible for the network infrastructure that supports the technology of all mainframe and desktop computers, and the management and development of applications and databases. VERTOSOFT LLC is the current provider of the maintenance and support and the only known reasonably available source for the renewal of existing support. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811210 with a standard size of $30.0 million. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive quotations.� Interested concerns capable of providing the same products or services as described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capabilities.� No solicitation is available. Information received will be evaluated for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Capability Statements must be received within the time set forth in this synopsis to be considered by the Government.� A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
